JAPAN-US ARTIST RESIDENCY

In March 2023, I hosted professional Japanese mangaka, Kazuo Maekawa from Tokyo at the University of Illinois for a 2-week residency that I developed via a $15K grant.
I was the grant writer, host, event organizer, and Japanese - English interpreter. We finished the residency in Chicago with a talk at Northwestern University and a panel discussion at C2E2.
